The Hundred Steps

Via Sant’Ansano, Fiesole

The Hundred Steps is the name adopted by the people of Fiesole to describe a ramp consisting of precisely one hundred steps. This characteristic stairway street is a must-walk that will surprise you with its perspective views and exclusive panoramic vistas.

The picturesque stairway route begins not far from the Oratory of Sant’Ansano and the adjacent villa of Angelo Maria Bandini, forming a section of Via di Sant’Ansano. This pedestrian street branches off from Via Bandini and climbs up the hill towards the city center until it reconnects with Via Beato Angelico, right at the entrance of Villa Medici.
