Church of San Jacopo al Girone

The Church of San Jacopo al Girone, located in the homonymous hamlet of the Municipality of Fiesole, is another place of worship on the harmony itinerary, as it perfectly balances the natural environment and urban landscape.

Its construction dates back to the mid-1970s when, following the expansion of the Girone village and the increase of the road network of the Via Aretina, the previous chapel of San Jacopo and the attached parish of San Pietro a Quintole became insufficient for worship. Built starting from 1983 according to the design of architect Sirio Pastorini, it was completed in 1985 and consecrated the following year.
